The Alabama Solution uncovers the harsh realities of Alabama’s prisons, using secret cell phone footage to reveal what’s really happening inside.

The film documents claims of abuse, inhumane conditions, and extreme overcrowding. While the Alabama Department of Corrections denies these allegations, the footage tells another story.

Even in dark times the film brings hope: if those behind prison walls can spark activism under such harsh conditions, then the potential for change is even greater when people on the outside join the fight. By amplifying these voices, the documentary marks an important step toward reform.

Directed by Andrew Jarecki, Charlotte Kaufman and produced by Alex Duran, this powerful documentary is sparking conversations nationwide. Watch the trailer here: Alabama Solution Trailer
