Correcting the Narrative Screening May 20th

May 12, 2023

We are inviting you to register for a screening of Correcting the Narrative on Saturday, May 20.

The screening showcases the successes, humanity, and agency of people with criminal records. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A from the audience. The Correcting the Narrative Campaign employs a combination of story-telling, and in-person and virtual events to promote acceptance of people with criminal records as not just, at best, taxpayers, employees, and neighbors, but rather equal citizens, employers, and potential family.

As a result of attending this event, you will be better equipped to:

  1. Empower people with criminal records with a greater understanding of possibilities and how to tell their stories.
  2. Challenge a person’s bias and perception of people with a criminal record and who have been in prison.
  3. Elevate the issue of why reentry/reform/decarceration work is important.
  4. Leave with a different perception of people with a criminal record.

This event is entirely free, open to all community members. Dinner will be provided by the Cozzy Corner. Registration is required.

We look forward to seeing you there!
